"City Streets" Original Acrylic Painting on canvas, Custom made frame with gold and copper tints) This 14" x 18" Acrylic on Canvas picture scene was originated a couple years ago in Cabo while making my way home and ending up down by the wharf where I found these small shops and I found this winding little street. I quickly sketched it and basically painted it from memory using different techniques that cast shadows and allows metallic paint to give it a "rainy" night feeling. This is one of the artist Jamie Goose Voigt's personal favorites that is displayed at the Goose Pit Art Shoppe. Copper and tropical colors are favored when painting tropical scenes and the use of metallic paint helps the painting become three dimensional. The frame is custom made in The Goose Pit Art Shoppe of bass wood that has been painted and stained to give it a rustic appearance. |

The Road Home Wandering along the James River Valley near Redfield, South Dakota I came upon this home, and it took me back home fishing and exploring the valley of the "Jim River" as we often called it as a kid growing up in Mitchell South Dakota. It is just one of the many South Dakota scenes I have painted and written either a story or poem to go with it.
